Is Yellow Your Color?






I'm half and half on these flats. They're Nine West, which I love, the style is super comfortable and the shoes are well made but at times the stripes feel juvenile and then at other times they feel way elderly. Buttttttt they begged to come home with me and pleaded that with all their colors I'd find plenty to wear them with. Go figure I'd pick to wear these flats first with yellow! I never thought yellow was my color and really I'm still not sure, but I love the way yellow brightens my mood and paired with white and navy it's a crisp and fresh look for work :) By days end I was back in my skinnies. Those white pants weren't gonna last long on the home front. You guys it's finally warm here and sunny until almost 8pm, don't you just love this time of year??

Another reason I love this time of the year....it marks my little mans birthday!

Last year was all Mickey Mouse theme, kid was OBSESSED with anything Mickey. This year not so much. He's a bouncy ball with all that he loves but basically anything with wheels wins his heart. So this years theme is Construction Trucks. I've received specific instructions to not "do it up" like last year...but that's easier said than done. You must know that I want to have a fun table spread including dump trucks, cones and hard hats?! And I'm taking any tips on how else to play up this theme!!

That's all I got today, I'm off to clean and prep for this party and hopefully squeeze in an easy run this evening...remember we have our 10K this weekend too!

    You are one of the few people I know that can pull off yellow--it looks beautiful on you!! And I'm so excited to see pics of Landon's birthday! He is too sweet! It's too bad he's over Mickey--I have SO much Disney stuff I could have sent out there (including Goofy and Donald Duck cake pans!)!!

    I love the whole outfit, it looks amazing on you. Yellow is one of my favorite colors to wear! Its so bright and sunny and now that the warm beautiful weather is here, I'm excited to start wearing some yellow!! Your little man is adorable...Happy Birthday to him!

    Outfit looks great!! I don't wear yellow... but then again, I don't wear many colors as it is ;)

    Good luck with the birthday party! Biggest thing I can say is plan for any other toddler guests to go home shortly after the present-opening. At my son's 2nd birthday we had some big fights over the new toys ;)

    Yellow is one of my favorite colors! I love that bright yellow, but it is not such a good color on me. I go for more of a mustardy yellow.

    I absolutely love yellow, so the top is so fun! I love the look of white (blazers, pants, etc) but I worry that I'll get them filthy so they probably wouldn't last too long on me either!

    My baby brother had a construction themed birthday party before. I think my mom bought little toy dumptrucks somewhere and served little snacks and candies out of them :) it was cute

    I love the flats! I don't think they look juvenile or elderly at all! Plus white jeans are my favorite and yellow happens to be my favorite color too. :)

    Funny thing, I didn't realize I had so much yellow in my closet until I looked up my photos and see various outfits in this color! It's a tricky color to pull off but when styled nicely, can create a fantastic look like you did with this one :)
